A–C

Affiliate

A Business admin term for a set of users with specific attributes.

AI generator

A feature in eWizard Editor that allows you to generate text variants in a wide range of topics for text-based components.

AI-avatar video

A working version of a future MP4 video file voiced by a digital presenter based on a script. The MP4 video, rendered from the AI-avatar video, becomes available for its target usage, including adding it to content items with the video component.

Alpha channel

A color component that specifies the degree of color opacity.

Analytics

A service to get insights into user activity within eWizard for further analysis. Summarized data is visualized in analytical reports.

Assets

Images, documents, text, audio, or video files you can upload to the components on the content item layout. In the Assets pop-up, you can add assets from My library, Veeva Vault, or your device.

Assignment

A content item type in the Campaign planning, Operations and delivery widgets. An assignment is printed materials distributed during face-to-face visits with the target audience or digital content to promote your products and services online. The template-based assignment is used for the initial customization of a content item in eWizard Editor and then for sending it to the agency for design.

Attendee

A healthcare professional or other person you demonstrate your e-Detailer to.

Auto translate

A feature in the Editor TRANSLATE mode that allows you to seamlessly localize your e-Detailer, email, and landing page content to and from any language available in eWizard.

Banner

A content item type that appears as a promotional visual asset on a webpage and social media to showcase your product or service and attract internet users to your website.

Block

A ready-to-use group of predefined components that serves as a fundamental building unit within the content item layout. Blocks can include interactive or static elements available in eWizard Editor. Using blocks in your items streamlines the content creation process by providing you with a structured and consistent framework for efficient content item assembly, ensuring coherence across various channels.

Brand

A pharmaceutical name used as the property for a set of different marketing materials.

Brand plan

An entry in Planner for presenting campaign strategies, objectives, and details.

Brief

A content item type used for prototyping purposes of e-Detailers, emails, and landing pages.

Broadcast email

An email designed for mass mailing that provides common fact-finding or introductory information. Other names for the broadcast email: eNewsletter, HOE, mass mailing, Mass email.

Business admin

A dedicated eWizard service to manage user accounts and permissions by customer business administrators.

Campaign

A parent entry in Planner that groups together content items under the same strategic objective.

Channel

A NaviGate term for any finished content item: an e-Detailer, an email, a module, and so on.

Citation

A source of the reference document set in Veeva Vault.

CLM

A Closed-Loop Marketing implemented as an iOS or Android application for creating and performing marketing visits, and for managing subordinates' activity.

CMS

A headless content management system (CMS) that offers a flexible and API-driven approach to content creation, management, and delivery.

Code snippet

A piece of code for creating and editing deep links in emails for any target system. The links provide direct access to web content, like specific products, articles, or features within an app.

Commercial department

In eWizard, custom metadata set in a user profile. In eWizard Planner, users of this department can work with `Commercial` content items and checklist tasks added to `Medical` content items with the `In-label` approval status.

Comparator

An eWizard service available for emails and email fragments. It allows you to compare two versions of the same content item or different items available in Library.

Component

The smallest layout element available for modification in Editor.

Content item

A discrete piece of content within the eWizard platform: an e-Detailer, email, email fragment, landing page, messenger ad, brief, and so on.

Content pack

A set of brand-specific marketing materials in NaviGate.

Converter

An eWizard service for transforming PDF and PPTX files from your device into e-Detailers, website briefs, and AI-avatar videos.

CRM

A server application for customer relationship management.

D–F

Deployment

An eWizard service that allows you to deliver your landing pages to the hosting platform.

Device simulator

An eWizard service that allows you to check out how your email is displayed on various devices and email clients.

Domain name

A website name or address specified for the website deployment.

e-Detailer

A sequence of slides organized into a presentation for product demonstration. Other names for e-Detailers: IVA (Interactive Visual Aids), eDA (Electronic Digital Aids), DSA (Digital Sales Aids), HTML5 presentations, Closed-Loop Marketing (CLM) presentations, and so on.

Editor

A multifunctional eWizard service that allows you to design content items with various components and blocks and then fill them up with the required assets and modules.

Element type

Metadata to classify the asset in Veeva Vault. To match the asset classification specified in Veeva Vault, assign the element type to the component in eWizard Editor.

Email

A branded HTML-formatted document that contains recipient-oriented information that can be delivered through personal or mass mailing.

Email fragment

A content item type aimed at providing additional information to an email without creating a new one.

Embedded fonts

Fonts added to the ZIP archive of the content item in the `common/media/fonts` folder. As a result, these fonts are rendered as intended by design.

Empty block

A structureless block for loading eWizard and Veeva Vault modules.

Export

An eWizard service for transforming your eWizard items into documents, standalone applications, or ZIP archives compatible with the target systems. After export, you can download the required file by its unique link.

eWeTest

eWizard token

A code of a specific format that eWizard replaces with the token value immediately after the publication of your content item to the target system.

Fallback font

An alternative font of the same font family specified for the text component. It's used when the font specified as primary isn't supported by the recipient's email client, browser, and OS.

Footnotes

A list of notes explaining terms, abbreviations, quotations, and other statements in your content item.

G–I

Group

A set of users you can share content items and folders with for collaboration. In the Business admin service, users are grouped according to a specific business logic.

HCP

A healthcare professional. Any member of the medical, pharmacy, or nursing professions or any other person who in the course of their professional activities may prescribe, administer, or dispense to an end-user a medical product promoted.

HEX

A hexadecimal 6-symbol code #RRGGBB made of three 2-symbol elements: RR (red), GG (green), and BB (blue) values. Each of the 2-symbol elements expresses a color value from 0 to 255.

Hidden chapter

The chapter not shown during the e-Detailer demonstration. All slides of the hidden chapter are skipped during navigation in PREVIEW and Viewer.

Hidden slide

The slide skipped when navigating between slides in PREVIEW and Viewer.

Hidden subslide

The subslide skipped when navigating between slides in PREVIEW and Viewer.

Image rendition

An automatically generated or manually added viewable version of a source Veeva Vault image asset.

In-label

The value of the `Indication approval status` metadata field in eWizard Planner. It's assigned to content items promoting products and services approved by regulatory authorities. These items are available to any Planner user.

Inline editing

A feature in eWizard Editor that allows you to customize the required text lines and upload images with a double-click on the component.

J–L

Key message

A core idea that combines a common goal for a few objects. A key message can be an HTML, image, video, or PDF.

Landing page

A standalone webpage designed to present a specific product or service and encourage users to take the expected action.

Layout

The main working area of the content item in Editor.

Library

An eWizard service where all content items are created, stored, and managed. It comprises three spaces with access to your active and deleted content items, and the ones shared with you.

M–O

Master template

A mode that allows you to apply changes to all e-Detailer or e-Detailer brief slides at once.

Media

Digital assets you can use in your eWizard items: audio and video files, images, and documents.

Medical department

In eWizard, custom metadata set in a user profile. In eWizard Planner, users of this department aren't restricted in accessing content items.

Merge tag

A special code that allows you to insert unique user data to the outgoing email, thus making your mailing campaigns more personalized and efficient. Other names for merge tags: tokens, code snippets, and so on.

Messenger ad

A landing page designed for promotional campaigns in messengers like WeChat. With this content item type, you can send the required information to the target recipients and discuss the details in the chat.

Mismatch value in Comparator

The percentage of difference between the target and source email layouts in Editor.

Mobile editing

A feature in eWizard Editor that allows you to customize a mobile version of your email, landing page, their briefs, and messenger ads in the EDIT mode.

Module

A complete piece of information with references, which claims and illustrates a particular point. Modules are built to approve the assets once and reuse them across different channels. You can use modules in different content items according to their key message.

Module highlight

A feature in eWizard Export and Publisher that allows you to single out the modules added to your content item. Thus, reviewers can focus on the new or modified information only.

Multibrand template

A template designed to support several brands and simplify the process of creating content items tailored to your brand-specific needs. With the multibrand template, you can assign a brand and theme to the content item and define its set of blocks, layout elements, and color scheme.

NaviGate

An eWizard repository common for all users within the eWizard environment. Companies can use NaviGate as their dedicated asset storage system.

Non-embedded fonts

Fonts not attached to the ZIP archive of the content item but listed inside the item code as primary and fallback fonts.

Off-label

The value of the `Indication approval status` metadata field in eWizard Planner. It's assigned to content items presenting products and services that aren't yet approved for general use and promotion by regulatory authorities. These content items are available to medical department users.

Offline asset

A discrete piece of content in eWizard Planner—an assignment—distributed as printed materials during face-to-face visits with the target audience.

Online asset

A discrete piece of content in eWizard Planner—an e-Detailer, email, websites, and so on—to promote your products and services on the internet.

P–R

Placeholder

One or several empty blocks that are used as constitutive parts for the eWizard item layout. You can add components to each column of the placeholder and customize their styling, properties, and settings.

Planner

An eWizard service to plan, develop, control, and coordinate campaign executions in a multivendor environment.

Portfolio

A compilation of different NaviGate channels related to different brands.

PREVIEW

A mode that allows you to see the changes made to the content item right in Editor. In this mode, you can also test the links and actions added to the content item and ensure that everything works and displays as designed.

Project

The content item/folder shared with colleagues for collaboration. The colleagues can work on the project according to assigned roles.

Property

Custom values that define the component content and appearance on the layout.

Publisher

A service for publishing content items directly to your target system with minimum manual operations.

Publish manager

An overall registry of eWizard items publications and exports within your company.

Pulse

A solution for presenting e-Detailers on face-to-face meetings or during events. It's available for desktop and portable devices.

References

A list of source works providing proofs for information stated in your content item.

Rep-triggered email

A targeted email you send to perform personalized activities like invitation, follow-up to the e-Detailer demonstration, and so on. Other names for the rep-triggered email: RTE (Rep-triggered Email), AE (Approved Email), VAE (Veeva Approved Email), 1 to 1 email, Personalized email.

RGB

A color model in which the red, green, and blue colors are blended to reproduce the required color. The R, G, and B values can range from 0 to 255, specifying the intensity of the color.

Reusable text

A text asset with the match text, reusable text type, the product and country metadata. It's created and stored on the Claims tab in Veeva Vault.

Ritch text formatting

A text format that keeps the original formatting of the module text assets uploaded to eWizard items (font styles and effects, links, and list settings).

Role

A set of permissions that specifies available options to the user in eWizard services. The role identifies a type or category of user.

S–U

Self-detailing

The process of viewing the e-Detailer following the share link generated by eWizard. The link for self-detailing is passed on directly to the target audience.

SEO settings

Options for improving the website visibility and ranking in search engines. These settings influence how search engines understand your website content and relevance to specific search queries.

Shared project

A content item, folder, or parent folder shared with the Share -> Assign users option.

Slide

A single, self-contained page within e-Detailer that typically contains a combination of visual and textual elements. Slides are used to convey information, illustrate key points, and engage the target audience visually.

STRUCTURE

An Editor mode that allows you to add, delete, manage your e-Detailer chapters, slides, and subslides.

Subslide

A slide with the details to the information stated on the main slide.

Tags in NaviGate

The automatically generated keywords based on file recognition assigned to media files in NaviGate.

Target device

A device to display a content item on. It's characterized by its own screen resolution, size, and other parameters.

Target system

A platform you use for content management and its delivery to the target audiences.

Task

A record in a list on the Checklist tab of the item Details page in Planner. A task is an activity or work to be done by a user, content hub, or an agency within a certain time period.

Template

A sample of the content item with a default structure and design. You can create new content items based on the existing templates, saving time and securing an accurate representation of the visual style required. The template-based task can be initially customized in eWizard Editor and then designed by the agency.

Test email

A message you send to test how your email or email fragment renders in different email clients.

Tracking module

A module used for content effectiveness tracking in the target system.

Translate

A mode in eWizard Editor for translating texts directly on the platform or exporting them into the XLIFF or XLSX file for external translation.

Tree

A tab in eWizard Editor that displays the list of components added to the slide. Here, you can select and edit any component on the slide layout or find hidden components placed on lower layout levels.

URL

A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is an address that uniquely identifies a location on the Internet. Other name: web address.

UTM parameters

Short text codes you add to the URL link to track and measure the overall performance of your eWizard item. Other names: UTM codes, UTM tags.

V–Z

Veeva Vault assets

The approved media files from your Veeva Vault account.

Veeva Vault module ID

ID assigned to the email module after the email publication to Veeva Vault as PDF.

Veeva Vault references

Various sources of additional information, visuals, and other materials used in your eWizard item.

Viewer

An eWizard service to view content items, customize their display for various target devices, comment on them, and perform other actions.

Web safe fonts

Standard system fonts pre-installed as default.

Widget

A functional element in Planner that provides specific data and tools to perform dedicated activities.

Workflow

A sequence of actions and statuses configured in NaviGate that entries pass within a specific business process. Each workflow is set for a specific channel or media type/subtype and is assigned to a responsible user group.

XLIFF

The localization file format supported by eWizard Editor for the external content item translation.
