To ensure your email or email fragment appears to your recipients as intended, you can simulate its display on target devices and in email clients—for both light and dark modes—directly in eWizard. You can also check and edit the formatting of the email or email fragment across different devices and email clients before they reach the target recipients.

You can launch the email simulation either directly from Editor or from Library. Starting from Editor is recommended, as it ensures you're simulating the exact email version you're working with and eliminates potential confusion when you have several similar emails in your Library.

To simulate email and email fragment rendering from Editor, do the following:

  1. Click TEST.

  2. In the unfolded menu, select Device simulator.

To open Device simulator from Library, unfold more options of the email or email fragment and select TestDevice simulator.

When you use Device simulator for the first time, the Target email clients and devices pop-up appears. By default, all available devices and email clients are selected. To narrow the list, you can clear the unnecessary boxes.

3. Click CONTINUE.

Every next simulation involves the previously selected email clients and devices. To select other options for email rendering, launch the Target email clients and devices pop-up. For this, click on the top panel.

Device simulator starts generating cards in the RUNNING status. Having reached 100%, Device simulator displays the resulting cards. The simulation status changes to COMPLETE.

Use the controls on the top panel to do the following:

Control

Action

Refresh the display of email cards.

Open the Target email clients and devices popup to select more or other email clients and devices for which to simulate the display of your email or email fragment.

Check the simulation status log.

Every email card features its more options. Use them to control the individual card:

Note

View

Preview the email or email fragment simulated for the given device.

You can also double-click the email card to view the device simulation result.

Refresh the email card display.

Device simulator re-runs for this card only.

Hide the email card.

The associated device or email client won't be shown in future simulations until you select it again in the Target email clients and devices pop-up.

The processed item Viewer consists of the following areas:

[1]: The top panel with the current device or email client details

[2]: The simulated item preview

[3]: The controls for navigation between devices and email clients

[4]: The scaling and fullscreen mode buttons
