On the MEDIA
tab, you can upload and store images, documents, audio and video files.
After publishing your content items to NaviGate, they also become available as PDF documents on the MEDIA
tab.
Each media card features its preview, if any, type icon, name, last modified date, and workflow status.
NaviGate supports the following file formats:

The maximum file size for upload is 1 GB.
New media
To add a new media file:
1. Click in the bottom right corner of the Media
page.
The Upload
pop-up opens.
2. Drag the required media file or click the pop-up to select files from the file explorer.
3. On the Details
panel, assign the required metadata, and set the expiration date.
To add more files, click UPLOAD FROM PC
.
4. Click UPLOAD
.
Once the uploading process is complete, find your file on the MEDIA
tab.
Media handling
To manage your media file, you can use the following controls:
Control | Action |
Open the media file in eWizard Viewer | |
Open the media file to edit its metadata on the Details page | |
Open the more options of the media file |
To update the media file with the file of the same format:
1. Click the media more options.
2. Select Upload new version
.
You can send an update request to the media owner by email. For this, use the Ask for update
option.
Details
On the Details
page, you can preview the media file, find its metadata, tags, versions, and start the MLR flow.
To modify the media file details:
1. Click EDIT DETAILS
.
2. In the Edit
pop-up that appears, make the required changes.
Select the Add to My list checkbox to keep the media file in quick access.
3. Click UPDATE
to apply your changes.
On the VERSIONS
tab at the bottom of the Details
page, you can download the current version of the media file. For this, click in the Actions
column.
Media tagging
When you upload images and PDF documents to NaviGate, the system automatically assigns tags to them. Tags indicate your media files within the NaviGate storage. As a result, you can search for the required media files by their tags.
You can see tags in the media file pop-up and on the media file Details page.
To add a new tag to the media file:
Click
EDIT DETAILS
on theDetails
page.
The Edit
pop-up opens.
2. In the Tags
section, enter the required word or phrase in the dedicated field.
3. Click .
4. Click UPDATE
to apply the new tag to the media file.
To remove an existing tag, go to the Edit
pop-up and click on the required tag.
When making a copy of a media file, you can add new tags or delete existing ones for the resulting copy.
