Manage the entry MLR flow in NaviGate with dynamic workflows.

You can use dynamic workflows with predefined responsible users, custom status names and colors in NaviGate to streamline the MLR workflow.

To use dynamic workflows in your entries, contact your administrator.

The dynamic workflow includes the following roles:

  • Content owner that can start the MLR flow and decline the entry in its current status to revert it to the initial status.

  • Responsible and backup users that can approve or reject the entry in its current status. They get an email notification each time the entry status changes.

Content owner

To start the MLR flow in NaviGate:

  1. Select the required entry on the CHANNELS or MEDIA tab.

  2. On the Overview page that opens, click the DETAILS button.

  3. Click the START MLR FLOW button on the Details page.

  4. In the MLR planning pop-up, assign the responsible and backup users. You can also exclude optional statuses from the flow.

Contact your administrator to configure the list of responsible and backup users, and optional statuses.

5. Click PROCEED.

After starting the MLR flow, the content owner can decline the entry in any status to revert it to the initial status.

To decline an entry in its current status, click DECLINE on the entry Details page.

The entry reverts to the initial status. The declined status is highlighted in red.

For example, STAGED.

Responsible and backup user

To approve the current status of an entry:

  1. Select the required entry on the CHANNELS or MEDIA tab.

  2. On the Overview page that opens, click the DETAILS button.

    OR

    Follow the embedded link in the email notification to navigate directly to the required entry.

  3. Click APPROVE on the entry Details page.

  4. In the Approve pop-up, select a status to approve. Add a comment if necessary.

    Contact your administrator to configure the list of statuses for the Approve pop-up.

  5. Click APPROVE.

The next status becomes available for approval. The approved status is highlighted in green.

As a result, the approved status is highlighted in green (for example, STAGED), and the entry moves to the next workflow status.

To reject an entry in its current workflow status:

  1. Select the required entry on the CHANNELS tab.

  2. On the Overview page that opens, click the DETAILS button.

  3. Click REJECT on the entry Details page.

  4. In the Reject pop-up, select what status the entry is reverted to.

    Contact your administrator to configure the list of statuses in the Reject pop-up.

  5. Add a comment with the rejection reason.

  6. Click REJECT.

The entry reverts to the stated status. The rejected status is highlighted in red.
