Add assets and modules from different sources to your item

Assets are images, documents, text, audio, or video files you can upload to the components on the item layout. The Assets pop-up allows you to add assets from My library, Veeva Vault PromoMats, or your device. You can also use the pop-up for the module upload from Veeva Vault PromoMats and NaviGate.

Veeva Vault assets can include various components: texts, images, and so on. To configure adding only text components with a Veeva Vault asset, contact your administrator.

To add an asset:

  1. Add a component to the item layout.

  2. Go to the Properties tab and click BROWSE.

3. In the Assets popup that appears, select the upload source: LIBRARY, VEEVA VAULT, or NAVIGATE.

To upload assets from your device, click the UPLOAD FROM PC button.

Also, you can add assets from your folders.

To manage assets, you can apply the following controls:

Open/close the Details panel on the right

When editing items created in Planner, contact your administrator to configure the prefill of the filter fields in the Assets popup with metadata from these items.

Library assets

On the LIBRARY tab, you can select assets uploaded from your device to My library.

To add an asset:

  1. Go to the LIBRARY tab.

  2. Click the button and select the upload space: Library or Shared with me. Library is selected by default.

Contact your administrator to add Shared with me to the list of spaces available for selection.

3. Select the required asset.

4. Click ADD.

The asset appears in the selected component on the item layout.

Veeva Vault assets and modules

On the VEEVA VAULT tab, you can upload assets, claims, references, modules, and email fragments.

To add a Veeva Vault asset:

  1. Go to the VEEVA VAULT tab.

  2. Log in to Veeva Vault PromoMats, if required.

In the Assets popup, you can:

  • Use the metadata filters [1]

Contact your administrator to configure the list of metadata filters, field dependencies, and multiselect option in metadata fields.

The asset type and subtype are predefined by the component selected.

  • Reset all filters with CLEAR ALL [2]

The set of filters is customizable. Please contact your administrator for more information.

  • Search for the required asset by its name

  • Launch the asset preview in Veeva Vault PromoMats with on their cards.

3. Select the asset and view its metadata on the DETAILS panel [3].

Check whether you have permissions to view the DETAILS panel.

4. Click ADD.

Also, in the Assets popup, you can select Veeva Vault modules and add them to the blocks.

To replace the assets within the added Veeva Vault module:

1. Select the required module component on the layout.

2. Go to the Properties tab and click BROWSE.

The Assets popup appears with the linked assets available for the selected module. To view all Veeva Vault assets, switch off the Content module assets toggle on the FILTERS panel.

NaviGate modules

On the NAVIGATE tab, you can upload assets from NaviGate or modules created in eWizard and published to NaviGate. For this:

  1. Go to the NAVIGATE tab.

  2. Select the required environment.

  3. Use the metadata filters [1] or enter the module or asset name in the search box.

    To reset all filters, click CLEAR ALL [2].

  4. Select the module or asset and view its metadata on the DETAILS panel [3].

    The Status field displays the workflow status of the module or asset assigned in NaviGate.

  5. Click ADD.

You can customize the uploaded module or asset in Editor.

To use the module or asset from another NaviGate environment, click CHANGE ENVIRONMENT [4].

Bynder

On the BYNDER tab, you can upload image and video assets from Bynder. For this:

  1. Go to the BYNDER tab.

  2. Log in to Bynder, if required.

In the Assets popup, you can:

  • Select the upload space: Assets or Collections [1]. Assets is selected by default.

  • Use metadata filters in the popup to narrow the list of assets by criteria, like language, country, and tags [2]. The Advanced filter allows you to refine assets by type, such as image or video.

    The asset type is predefined by the component selected.

    To clear a particular filter, click x next to it. To reset all filters, click Clear filters.

    You can't clear the asset type filter set by the selected component.

Contact your administrator to customize the list of upload spaces and metadata filters.

  • Search for the required asset or collection by name.

  • Sort assets in descending or ascending order by different parameters—date added, date published, date modified, or name [3].

3. Select the asset.

You can select a single asset at a time and view it in the View 1 selected list.

To change the asset, select the desired one or reset the selection by either clicking the asset in the View 1 selected list or the Clear selection button.

You can add assets of the supported formats.

4. Click Add asset.

The asset appears in the selected component on the content item layout.

Supported asset formats

Here is a complete list of supported file formats and maximum asset sizes recommended by eWizard:

* You can add AI, PSD, and INDD source images from Veeva Vault PromoMats if they contain linked renditions in JPG, JPEG, and PNG formats.

** Avoid adding images in the SVG format to your emails since not all email clients support this format.

To expand the list of file formats available to you, contact the administrator.
