Available for all content items
Use the VIDEO component to add a link to an audiovisual recording or upload a video file with a poster to your item.
Video requirements
Supported formats: MOV, MP4
Recommended maximum size: 250 MB
To add this component to your item, drag VIDEO from the Components tab on the elements panel to the item layout. Then, customize it on the tabs available for the current item type.
Video in emails, email fragments, email briefs
Select the video component on the layout and go to the Properties tab. Here, you can do the following:
Assign the element type to the video component.
Set and configure the video URL link type.
Change the video container shape to a
Rectangle,Square, orCircle.Videos may be cropped or scaled in circular containers. To ensure optimal viewing, keep important video content centered.
Add the video description to the
ALTERNATIVE TEXTfield.Add the video poster and play icon. For this:
Click
BROWSEin theVIDEO POSTERorPLAY ICONsection.In the Assets pop-up that appears, select the required image.
Select the
Show play iconcheckbox to display the play icon on the video.
To edit the uploaded video poster and play icon in the Edit image pop-up. To do this, hover over the image box and click
.
You can also configure the video component style.
Video in e-Detailers, webpages, landing page briefs, modules, and messenger ads
Select the video component on the layout and go to the Properties tab. You can do the following:
Assign the element type to the video component.
Add the component name.
Upload the video file in the
VIDEOsection. For this:Click
BROWSEto select the video file in the Assets pop-up.
Paste the video link into the
VIDEO URLfield.
Customize the video playback with the following options:
Show controls–to display the video controls when playing it.Start playing on slide open–to play the video on the e-Detailer slide opening.Fullscreen–to watch the video in fullscreen. Available for the uploaded video.Loop–to set the loop playback for your video.Mute–to turn off the video sound.Deactivate fullscreen–to keep the video playback within the video component container after the content item is exported into formats compatible with target systems.The applied
Deactivate fullscreenoption takes priority over the activatedFullscreenoption. You can't check the changes made by theDeactivate fullscreenoption in the PREVIEW mode.
Change the video container shape to a circle with the

Define the
PLAYING DURATIONvalue in seconds for your video.Add the preview image for the uploaded video. For this:
