In the STRUCTURE
mode, you can add, delete, and manage chapters, slides, and subslides of your e-Detailer and its brief, as well as handle nested e-Detailers in the portfolio.
The template with subslides is available on demand. Contact the administrator to get the necessary template.
To access structure editing options, open your e-Detailer in Editor. Click STRUCTURE
on the Editor modes panel.
You're redirected to the Editor STRUCTURE
mode.
It contains the following areas:
[1] The Editor modes panel. You can also add slides and chapters here with the + ADD NEW
button.
[2] The e-Detailer main area with slides and subslides organized in chapters.
The opening slides and nested e-Detailers are marked with .
Nested e-Detailer
In the STRUCTURE
mode, the portfolio e-Detailer displays the nested e-Detailer for which you initially have the EDIT
mode open.
Here, you can do the following:
View the structure of any nested e-Detailer or the entire portfolio. For this, select the required value from the
e-Detailer
dropdown list [1].Collapse or expand the list of nested e-Detailers and chapters with the
button [2].
Add the required structural elements to nested e-Detailers:
Chapter. For this, click
Chapter
in the add new menu. Alternatively, click the button on the right of the nested e-Detailer name [3].Blank or pre-designed slide. For this, select the required option from the add new menu. Alternatively, click the
Add slide
placeholder and select the required option from the
menu [4].
Access the nested e-Detailer and chapter functionality with the
button on the respective structural element row [5]. The following more options are available for nested e-Detailers or chapters:

Structural changes you make to a nested e-Detailer are automatically saved when you switch to another e-Detailer.
When All
is selected in the e-Detailer dropdown list, the more options menu for chapters and slides, the Copy
button on slide cards, and the slide addition placeholder are locked.
Chapter
To add a chapter to your e-Detailer:

+ ADD NEW
on the Editor modes panel and selectChapter

Enter chapter name
pop-up appears.Enter the new chapter name or leave the default one and click
ADD
.
You can access the chapter functionality with the more menu
button on each chapter row. The following chapter more options are available:

Slide
You can add blank or already designed slides to the e-Detailer you're editing in one of the following ways:

The Reuse slide
feature is available in e-Detailers built with the eWizard.js framework version 5 and later. Check the framework version on the e-Detailer Details page.
To reuse hidden slides, your e-Detailer must be initialized with eWizard CLI version 1.0.0 and later. If you can't reuse hidden slides, contact the administrator to rebuild the e-Detailer ZIP archive with the proper CLI version.
The added reused slides contain actions, links, references, claims, and footnotes assigned to them in the source e-Detailer. If the slide you're reusing has the Open slide action, but you aren't reusing the target slide, the action is removed from the reused slide.
The style of the reused slides can differ from the source slides.
Click the
Add slide
placeholder available at the end of each e-Detailer chapter and select the required option from the menu.
You can also add slides and chapters to your e-Detailer/e-Detailer brief on the Navigation tab in the EDIT
mode.
Your new slide is added to the e-Detailer and is available for editing and translation.
Each slide features the following options:

Subslide
To add a subslide to the e-Detailer:
1. Drag a blank or template-based slide from the left sidebar.
2. Place it as a subslide to the left-hand side of the required e-Detailer slide thumbnail. The subslide destination area becomes highlighted with
You can add a subslide to your item on the Navigation tab in the EDIT
mode. Unfold the slide more options menu and click Add subslide
.
When the subslide is added to the ordered slides area, it's indicated with
Your new subslide is added to the e-Detailer and is available for editing and translation.

If you move a subslide to an empty chapter, the moved subslide becomes a slide.
Hidden structure elements
You can hide chapters, slides, and subslides of your e-Detailer and its brief to distinguish information for various audiences within one presentation. The hidden chapters, slides, and subslides aren't displayed during the e-Detailer demonstration.
To hide the chapter, slide, or subslide, unfold its more options and click Mark as hidden
.
When you hide a chapter, all slides and subslides it contains become hidden. Hiding a slide results in hiding its subslides. When you mark the slide or subslide as visible, its parent chapter and slide become visible.
Depending on the e-Detailer template, you can manage hidden slides/subslides in the following way:
Customize styling and properties, assign actions and animation to the components of hidden slides/subslides.
Select hidden slides when assigning the
Open slide
action to the components of visible slides. As a result, you can open hidden slides during the e-Detailer demonstration.Translate text assets added to hidden slides/subslides.
Open hidden slides from the list on the bottom bar. When navigating between e-Detailer slides with arrows, hidden slides are skipped. Hidden subslides aren't displayed in Viewer.
Include hidden slides in the document published to Veeva Vault as PDF/interactive, CT Presenter, and SFDC. Hidden subslides are published only to Veeva Vault as PDF.
If you make a copy of a hidden chapter or slide, the copied chapter/slide becomes visible.
