Explore the Editor interface with its panels, options, and controls

To open an item in Editor, click the pencil button on its card in Library.

Edit

Editor opens in a new browser tab. The set of available options depends on the item type you're editing.

Editor interface

Editor consists of the following areas:

[1] The modes panel (EDIT, PREVIEW, STRUCTURE, TRANSLATE) with the following controls:

On the navigation tab of e-Detailer Editor, the opening slide is indicated with .

[3] Your item layout, where you can see all the changes applied to the item in the course of editing.

On the item layout, you can select the required block or placeholder to activate their controls:

You can use the smart guides on the layout to align all the components with each other and the slide center.

Scale the content item through its zooming in/out. Or you can select Adaptive view, Full size, Fit to screen, Fit to width from the zoom list

The Editor interface and functionality can be customized according to your company business rules. The set of Editor options is predefined by your user role permissions. Please contact your administrator for details.

Scaling

You can adjust the display of the content item layout in the following ways:

  • Change the display size with the - and + buttons by 25%, ranging from 25% to 300%.

  • Manually enter a specific scaling value within the 25%–300% range. The - and + buttons round the entered value to the nearest multiple of 25.

  • Select a predefined zoom mode for quick adjustments.

Zoom modes

Description

Adaptive view

The mode is selected by default. The content item layout zooms to 100% or automatically fits to the window width

Full size

Zoom the content item layout to 100%

Fit to screen

Zoom the content item layout to match the window width and height. Emails, email briefs, email fragments, sites, and landing page briefs adjust to fit the window width but may not fit vertically

Fit to width

Zoom the content item layout to fit the window width

The selected values for the EDIT and PREVIEW modes remain unchanged when switching between them.
