A placeholder is one or several empty blocks used as constitutive parts for your item layout. You can add components to each column of the placeholder and customize their styling, properties, and settings.

Go to the Placeholders tab to find the list of available placeholders and do the following:

1. Select the required placeholder.

2. Drag it onto the layout.

Select this placeholder on the layout to customize its styling.

Go to the Properties tab to do the following:

  • Add and delete the placeholder columns with the + and - buttons.

You can add up to 12 columns to the placeholder. If you require more columns in the placeholder, please contact your administrator.

  • Set the placeholder columns orientation for the mobile version in the following way:

    • Select the Rearrange columns for Mobile view checkbox to arrange placeholder columns and their components vertically.

    • Clear the Rearrange columns for Mobile view checkbox to arrange placeholder columns and their components horizontally.

You can also manage the placeholder on the item layout. For this, select the required placeholder and hover over the icon on its right to expand the following controls:

Control

Action

Duplicates the placeholder, keeping the original styling

Deletes the placeholder

Add an anchor to the placeholder

Adds the column to the placeholder

Removes the column from the placeholder

You can manage multiple placeholders on the content item layout at a time.
