Available for emails and their briefs, landing pages and their briefs, and multipage sites
You can customize the tablet version of your content items in the EDIT
mode. Tablet view editing follows the general editing process while ensuring an optimized experience for medium-sized screens. Unlike mobile view editing, which adapts content for smaller screens, tablet view editing offers more flexibility for arranging blocks, placeholders, and components within a larger touch interface.
Customizing the tablet version of content items can increase file size. To maintain accurate rendering and prevent issues across email clients, ensure the file size meets the target system limits.
By default, content items open in the desktop version, where you can customize component styling and properties, add claims, assign actions to components, and modify the content item layout with its settings. Additionally, you can select multiple blocks, placeholders, or components on the content item layout or the Tree tab to move, delete, or duplicate them.
After editing your content item in the desktop version, click on the bottom bar to proceed to the tablet version customization.
The tablet version inherits the initial customization of the content item you made in the desktop version.
If any padding issues occur after inheritance, adjust them manually.
Further changes in the tablet version overwrite the previous changes from the desktop version.
In the tablet version, a set of available options depends on the content item type you're editing and is limited to the following:
On the Styling tab, you can customize the background color, opacity, paddings, borders, and corner radius of components, placeholders, and blocks.
On the Properties tab, you can change the font size, alignment, indent, and line height of the text component.
On the Settings tab, you can set the background color and alignment of the content item layout.
Other options are inactive and can't be applied.
By default, in the tablet version:
The text font size may differ from that of the desktop version.
Blocks may have pre-designed paddings that differ from those in the desktop version.
Images can be resized to fit a block with the pre-designed padding.
Images
On the Styling tab, you can set different background images for the selected component, block, or placeholder. Adding a background image in the tablet version can result in a cropped or collapsed display of your email in some email clients.
On the Properties tab, you can upload different images for the desktop, tablet, and mobile versions. For this, add the image component separately to the layout for the desktop, tablet, and mobile versions. To hide the image in the desktop/tablet/mobile version, clear the
Show in Desktop/Tablet/Mobile
checkbox.
When you edit the content item text, these changes are displayed in the desktop, tablet, and mobile versions.
You can preview your content item on tablets in two ways:
Portrait orientation—the tablet and mobile version of your content item.
Landscape orientation—the desktop, tablet, and mobile version of your content item.
