In Editor, you can comment on the whole item and its individual components.
To add a comment:
1. Click Comments
on the modes panel.
The COMMENTS
tab opens to the right of the page.
2. Click +
.
3. Select the layout area you're commenting on, if required.
4. Enter your comment in the input box.
5. Click ADD
.
The comment appears on the COMMENTS
tab and contains the following:
[1]: The author name
[2]: The number, date, time, and item version
[3]: The icon indicating the device view this comment refers to
[4]: The comment text

Hover over the device view icon to check the aspect ratio of the target device for which the comment has been added.
To comment on an item component:
1. Right-click the required component on the layout.
2. Select Comment
in the context menu.
3. On the COMMENTS
tab that opens, add your comment.
Use more options of each comment to:
Add the area for the comment to the layout or remove the already added area
Edit the comment
Delete the comment
To reply to the comment, click REPLY
and enter the required text in the input box. The thread of replies appears under the target comment. Once a discussion on this comment is complete, the comment author can resolve it along with all added replies.
Planner items
Comments added in Editor sync with the related content item in Planner. On the Editor COMMENTS
tab, you can find the system comment with a link to the PDF document if the medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) approval process in Veeva Vault PromoMats fails.
You can set the comments display on the COMMENTS
tab. For this, click the filter button and select the required option:
Hide resolved
: Selected by default. This option automatically hides all resolved comments. To restore them on theCOMMENTS
tab, deselect the checkbox.Show all comments
: Deselected by default. With this option, you can see comments added to the specific slide. To view all item comments at once, select the checkbox. Available for e-Detailers and their briefs.Newest
/Oldest
: Sort which comments to show first.
