Leave entry comments and manage them in Planner

On the Details page, you can comment on an entry and view comments synced from eWizard Editor, Viewer, and Veeva Vault PromoMats.

To add a comment:

1. Click on the top panel.

The COMMENTS tab opens to the right of the page.

2. Click +.

3. Enter your comment in the input box.

4. Click ADD.

After adding the comment, the entry creator, responsible person, and production partners receive email notifications with the link to the entry Details page. It opens with the expanded COMMENTS tab and a new comment highlighted.

The comment appears on the COMMENTS tab and contains the following:

[1] The author name

[2] The number, date, and time

[3] The comment text

Use more options to edit or remove the comment.

Only the comment author can edit and remove it.

To reply to the comment, click REPLY and enter the required text in the input box. The thread of replies appears under the target comment. Once a discussion on this comment is complete, the author of the comment can resolve it along with all added replies.

You can set the comments display on the COMMENTS tab. For this, click and select the required option:

  • Hide resolved: Selected by default. This option hides all resolved comments. To restore them on the COMMENTS tab, clear the checkbox.

  • Newest/Oldest: Sort which comments to show first.

Comment synchronization

In Planner, you can view comments synced from eWizard Editor, Viewer, and Veeva Vault PromoMats on the Details page of content items and template-based assignments.

Comments sync makes Planner a centralized service for providing feedback on content items and InDesign packages within eWizard and Veeva Vault PromoMats. It reduces the risk of miscommunication or overlooking important feedback. Syncing comments supports seamless cross-platform collaboration and enhances workflow efficiency.

Editor and Viewer

Comments synced from eWizard contain the following:

  • The service identifier where the comment is added next to the author name.

  • A link to the service where the comment is added.

To view real-time comment sync updates, reload the Details page.

To apply more options, reply to, or resolve synced comments, click the Details link. These actions aren't available in Planner for synced comments.

eWizard Editor and Viewer open in a new browser tab, with the COMMENTS tab expanded and the comment highlighted. To view the commented area on the layout, navigate to the corresponding section of the content item.

The feature is available on demand. Contact the administrator for details.

Veeva Vault PromoMats

A system comment is added if the medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) approval process in Veeva Vault PromoMats fails for the eWizard content item or InDesign package.

If you publish several InDesign packages to the same placeholder in Veeva Vault PromoMats, an unsuccessful MLR approval of the last published InDesign package triggers the addition of the system comment in Planner, Editor, and Viewer.

The system comment contains the following:

  • The platform identifier where the comment is added next to the author name.

  • A link to the PDF document with comments added within the MLR approval process in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

The system comment appears on the Details page, in Editor and Viewer for the content item, and in Viewer for the InDesign package.

You can reply to the system comment in Editor or Viewer. Applying more options, replying to, or resolving the system comment on the Details page in Planner isn't available.
