Universal components are available in ModCon 2.0 templates. Contact the administrator to update your templates.
Cross-channel compatibility for components is available in eWizard grid-based templates, supporting the reuse of selected components—such as text, list, button, popup, and video—across e-Detailers, emails, their briefs, and modules. This functionality streamlines the creation of rich, modular content that conforms to the specific interaction model of the destination content item.
Button
The button component, integrated into templates with a grid-based structure, seamlessly adapts to different content items while preserving its key properties.
You can add the button component to the content item layout from the Components tab on the elements panel.
To customize the button component, select it on the layout and go to the Properties tab.
Here, you can manage the button component in the following ways:
Assign the element type to classify the component in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

In e-Detailers and their briefs, you can either add a link on the Actions tab with the
Open linkaction or click the link button on the Properties tab.
If an action is assigned to the button, the
LINKsection on thePropertiestab is hidden automatically.
List
Designed for flexibility and consistency, the list component helps structure information clearly. It adapts to the interaction and layout requirements of each destination content item, supporting efficient creation of modular, reusable content.
After you drag the list component from the Components tab onto your content item layout—or select an existing list component that's part of reusable content—you can customize its properties as follows:
View and change the component name. It appears on the Tree tab of the elements panel in Editor.
Add up to 99 items to the list component with the
+button.
Use the following controls to manage the list items:
Control | Action |
Duplicate the required list item with its properties. The duplicated list item is added after the original one. | |
Delete the existing list item. |
You can add the required text to the list text lines in the following ways:
Manually—double-click the text line of the list component on the layout and enter your text.

Propertiestab. Here, click theBROWSEbutton and select text in the Assets popup.
To use the WYSIWYG editor for the required text customization, select the text line on the layout and go to the Properties tab.
e-Detailers and their briefs
In e-Detailers and their briefs, you can change the list symbol. For this, select it on the layout or the Tree tab and use the Properties tab to upload and update the image, add its alternative text, and edit image text if required.
Popup
With cross-channel support for popups in content modules within grid-based templates, you can now seamlessly reuse these content modules across different channels, including e-Detailers, emails, and modules. The cross-channel popup component automatically adapts to the behavior of the target content item:
In e-Detailers and their briefs—the popup appears as a standard interactive POPUP component.
In emails, their briefs, and modules—the popup is displayed as an additional content block placed below the main block.
This enhancement expands the range of content supported by the ModCon 2.0 approach, offering greater flexibility and creative freedom when building modular content. Additionally, the support of the cross-channel popup component allows you to reuse complex content modules in different channels, according to the channel design specifics, without the loss of meaningful data.
You can add the popup to your content in different ways, depending on the content item type:
In e-Detailers and their briefs:
Drag the
POPUPcomponent onto the layout from theComponentstab on the elements panel.A list of available components changes depending on whether the layout uses a grid-based structure, and the system notifies you accordingly.
Go to the
Blocks→ DEFAULT tab and add a block that includes the popup component with the grid-based structure. The availability of the required block depends on the content item template. Contact your administrator for details.
In emails, their briefs, and modules:
Add the block with the popup component from the
Blocks→ DEFAULT tab.The availability of the required block depends on the content item template. Contact your administrator for details.
To customize the popup with the grid-based structure, select it on the Tree tab and go to the Properties tab. Here, you can manage the component as follows:
Property | Action | Available for |
| Rename the component if needed. Your changes appear on the Tree tab on the fly. | e-Detailers and their briefs |
| Browse for and add a custom close button icon if needed. | e-Detailers and their briefs |
| Choose the close icon position within the popup from the dropdown list. | e-Detailers and their briefs |

| Select the checkbox to gray out the slide area behind the popup. Clear the checkbox to keep the slide area behind the popup unchanged. | e-Detailers and their briefs |
| Clear the checkbox to arrange blocks with popups horizontally in mobile view. | Emails, their briefs, and modules |
On the Tree tab, the popup component and blocks with popup are added on the same level as Grid. As a result, the structure of the layout is as follows:
After customizing the popup within the block in Editor, use bulk publication to send your content item to Veeva Vault PromoMats.
The system identifies blocks that contain cross-channel popups, and the following behavior on the publication steps is expected:
On the
BLOCKSandMODULESsteps, all publication options are available. You can create a content module from the block with the cross-channel popup. On the
ASSETSstep, all assets from the popup component are included in the content module asset list and treated as regular assets.
Content modules with cross-channel popups can be reused in your content items by selecting them in the Assets popup or pulling them from the MODULES tab in Editor.
Video
The cross-channel video component automatically adapts to different content item types, maintaining consistent behavior whether used as a source file or as a poster with a link. This flexibility streamlines content creation, empowers wider multimedia reuse, and opens up new creative possibilities for engaging cross-channel experiences.
You can integrate the video component both into the content item layout with relative and absolute positioning.
After dragging the video component from the Components tab onto your content item layout, you can customize its properties in the following way:
Property | Action | Available for |
| Assign an element type to the video component. | All content items |
| Rename the component if needed. Your changes appear on the Tree tab on the fly. | All content items |

The fields marked with asterisks (*) on the Properties tab are mandatory.
If you leave mandatory fields empty on the Properties tab, a message appears on the layout showing which components are affected. The message disappears automatically once you fill in all the required fields. It doesn't affect the content item editing or saving process.
The cross-channel video component validation is implemented for both bulk and interactive publications. The system automatically checks that all required fields—VIDEO, LINK, ALTERNATIVE TEXT, and POSTER—are complete. If any metadata is missing, the following behavior on the publication steps is expected:
Bulk publication
On the
BLOCKSstep, theERRORlabel appears under the block thumbnail, and thePublish as modulecheckbox is cleared and locked. You can proceed to the next step.On the
MODULESstep, theWARNINGlabel appears under the content module thumbnail, all publishing options are locked by default. The system automatically preselects theLink existingoption, so the content module is published without the latest changes made in the Editor.
Interactive publication
On the
PREPARATIONstep, theNEXTbutton remains locked until all required video metadata is completed.
If you're using an outdated content item template, the system blocks publication after the cross-channel component validation. The
NEXTbutton is locked until you update the template to the latest version.
To proceed with the publication, go back to Editor and fill in the video component mandatory fields.
Component sizing
Available in templates with a grid-based structure
For greater flexibility in designing grid-based content, you can adjust the size of components with the SIZE section on the Styling tab. This enhancement provides more control over how components are displayed and how the overall grid composition is structured.
To proceed to the component size modification:
Add the component to the grid area or select the already added one on the content item layout.
Go to the
Stylingtab →SIZEsection. Here, you can manage the component size with the following options:
Option | Action | Notes |
| Enter the component width in pixels. You can set the value manually, adjust it with the field arrows, or use your keyboard arrow keys. | You can select the following component width modes ( |
| Enter the component height in pixels. You can set the value manually, adjust the height with the field arrows, or use your keyboard arrow keys. | There're three possible height modes ( |
When a component is moved to a different grid area, it retains its alignment and size settings. If the width mode is set to Adapt, the width automatically adjusts in the new grid area to maintain the same proportion.
You can set the component size separately for the content item desktop, tablet, and mobile versions.
Mobile view
In Mobile view, components within grid areas automatically stretch to the full width of the grid area.
