With the ModCon 2.0 approach, you can streamline content creation by adding content modules from Veeva Vault PromoMats to the content item preserving their layout, styling, and linked elements. This approach eliminates the need for extra steps and allows content modules to be effortlessly reused across different content items in eWizard.

Contact your administrator to configure the usage of content module pulling in your template.

To pull the content module from Veeva Vault PromoMats onto the layout:

  1. Open the content item in Editor.

  2. Go to the Blocks tab on the elements panel.

Here, you can find the following tabs:

  • DEFAULT with predefined blocks available for the current content item.

Non-modular blocks

The template-level configuration identifies non-modular blocks in eWizard Editor. These blocks serve functional purposes—like header and footer in emails—and are excluded from the content module creation process during bulk publishing.

  • MODULES with content modules from Veeva Vault PromoMats.

3. Open the MODULES tab.

4. Log in to your Veeva Vault account if requested.

To streamline your search of the required content module on the MODULES tab:

  • Enter the content module name or document number into the search field.

  • Click the button to apply filters.

  • Clear the cache with the button to refresh the list of content modules from Veeva Vault PromoMats.

5. Drag the content module from the MODULES tab to the content item layout with or without the preliminary added blocks.

  • When adding the content module to the layout without a block, the system automatically applies the content module layout and inserts all assets into the predefined placeholders. The content module configurations set during its creation are preserved.

If the content module doesn't have a predefined layout, the system arranges its assets on the layout one after the other.

  • When adding the content module to the layout with a block, the Apply module layout popup appears.

Here, you can do the following:

    • APPLY the preset layout of the content module.

    • DISCARD the preset content module layout. Once uploaded, the content module inherits the styling and formatting of the content item layout. The module assets are inserted into the block components according to the matching element type if assigned.

  • If there are any differences between the content module stored in Veeva Vault PromoMats and the internal storage, the Update block layout popup appears with the following options:

    • UPDATE. The system pulls the updated layout from Veeva Vault PromoMats.

    • KEEP CURRENT. The system retains the existing layout and assets from the internal storage.

You can select the required component with the pulled content module asset on the layout or on the Tree tab in the grid-based structure and edit it. Any changes to content module assets are highlighted in the Editor PREVIEW mode and the resulting PDF.

Text assets

eWizard Editor supports rich text formatting when pulling texts as individual assets and as a part of content modules from Veeva Vault PromoMats to your content items. As a result, the uploaded text assets preserve the following formatting:

  • Font style: bold, italic, underline

  • Font effects: superscript, subscript

  • Lists: bulleted, numbered

  • Paragraphs

  • Hyperlinks

The content item template predefines the font family, size, and color of the text assets.

If no content module is available on the MODULES tab, you can create it directly in the content item. For this:

  1. Add a block from the DEFAULT tab.

  2. Pull the assets from the Assets popup or eWizard Library.

  3. Edit assets inline, and link references or claims if needed.

When you publish a content item with new blocks to Veeva Vault PromoMats, you can choose to transform these blocks into content modules.
