Brief is a content item type used to create, edit, share, publish, and export a prototype of the required content item. Use briefs to clarify content and design before the development of the item begins. You can create the following kinds of briefs:

  • e-Detailer brief

  • Email brief

  • Landing page brief

All brief types have the same Editor options as their matching content items—e-Detailers, emails, and landing pages. The general workflow is similar for all brief types.

Brief creation

You can add a new brief to Library in the following ways:

  • Create it from scratch.

  • Upload from the existing ZIP archive.

The ZIP archive for upload must be created in the eWizard.js framework.

To avoid the uploading error, specify the brief category in the subtype field of the .ewizard/settings.json file.

Upon successful creation or upload, your brief appears in Library.

The brief card features its preview, name, version, and language.

You can also use the buttons on the brief card to perform the following actions:

Brief editing

To make a brief meet all the requirements of the future e-Detailer, email, or landing page, use eWizard Editor. It provides you with tools for filling in your brief with the required content, adding components, adjusting their styling and properties; modifying the brief layout with its settings.

Editor allows you to add actions and claims, assign animation to your components, and comment on them. Moreover, you can generate text passages for your components with AI generator.

When the brief contains modules, you can manage module combinations to group content according to certain business rules set in your company.

Please note that brief Editor can be customized according to your company requirements and needs. The set of editing options is predefined by your user role permissions.

To open the brief in Editor, click on its card in Library.

The brief Editor opens in a new browser tab and consists of the following areas:

[1] The modes panel with the quick handling ribbon to switch between the modes and buttons available for different brief types.

[2] The elements panel with components and grouped elements: blocks and placeholders.

[3] The brief layout, where you can arrange its various elements to match your editing requirements.
