Brief is a content item type used to create, edit, share, publish, and export a prototype of the required content item. Use briefs to clarify content and design before the development of the item begins. You can create the following kinds of briefs:
e-Detailer brief
Email brief
Landing page brief
All brief types have the same Editor options as their matching content items—e-Detailers, emails, and landing pages. The general workflow is similar for all brief types.
Brief creation
You can add a new brief to Library in the following ways:
The ZIP archive for upload must be created in the eWizard.js framework.
To avoid the uploading error, specify the brief category in the subtype
field of the .ewizard/settings.json
file.
Upon successful creation or upload, your brief appears in Library.
The brief card features its preview, name, version, and language.
You can also use the buttons on the brief card to perform the following actions:

Brief editing
To make a brief meet all the requirements of the future e-Detailer, email, or landing page, use eWizard Editor. It provides you with tools for filling in your brief with the required content, adding components, adjusting their styling and properties; modifying the brief layout with its settings.
Editor allows you to add actions and claims, assign animation to your components, and comment on them. Moreover, you can generate text passages for your components with AI generator.
When the brief contains modules, you can manage module combinations to group content according to certain business rules set in your company.
Please note that brief Editor can be customized according to your company requirements and needs. The set of editing options is predefined by your user role permissions.
To open the brief in Editor, click on its card in Library.
The brief Editor opens in a new browser tab and consists of the following areas:
[1] The modes panel with the quick handling ribbon to switch between the modes and buttons available for different brief types.
[2] The elements panel with components and grouped elements: blocks and placeholders.
[3] The brief layout, where you can arrange its various elements to match your editing requirements.
[4] The customization panel to modify brief elements selected on the layout.
[5] The bottom bar with the following controls:

Since briefs are prototypes of eWizard item types, brief Editor interface corresponds to the e-Detailer / email / landing page Editor accordingly.
Brief sharing
eWizard allows you to share briefs with the collaborators. You can do this in the following ways:
Share link to generate the link to the brief and configure sharing settings.
Assign users to share your brief with specific users according to the defined roles. the more options menu.
As a result, the collaborators can view, edit, or publish the brief.
Brief publication
Use the eWizard Publish service to submit your brief to a target system with minimum manual operations. First, your brief is converted into the required build, then it's placed to the selected target system under your account according to the metadata specified.
The brief publishing is initiated with the Publish
option in the more options menu. Then, select the target system—eWizard NaviGate or ContentHub in the pop-up that appears.
Upon successful publication, find the email notification with the link to your brief.
Brief export
Once your brief is ready for the target usage, you can launch its export as a PDF file with the more options menu.
Upon successful export, download the resulting file from the email notification you receive and use it.
