The modular approach is a methodology in digital content production that promotes content reuse by breaking it down into small, meaningful, and reusable asset combinations. You can use these combinations to create complex modules for different content item types—channels. The modular approach streamlines the process of content creation and customization in eWizard, its review and approval in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

In eWizard, you can choose to work with either standard ModCon 1.0 or new ModCon 2.0 approach or apply them in parallel in your projects.

The key entity of the modular approach is a module—a reusable and channel-agnostic group of components that follow defined business rules to ensure compliance. Each module is self-contained and provides all the content necessary to convey a comprehensive message, such as claims, references, texts, and images. The module can also include business rules that specify how to use it.

The module is:

  • Reusable in various types of eWizard content items with no additional customization.

  • Approved with standalone meaning and complete message supported by references and claims.

  • Structured with assets assigned to specific element types, ensuring data model consistency for future reuse.

  • Channel agnostic, created independently of any specific format, allowing it to be reused in various content item types without altering the core message. This flexibility improves efficiency and consistency in content production.

  • Designless, the module look depends on the design system of the template where it's applied.
