To streamline campaign creation, you can save a campaign with content items as a local or global template and update the template when the source campaign is changed. It allows you to create new campaigns that duplicate the content item order, dependencies, attachments, links, and metadata from the source campaign. Creating template-based campaigns reduces repetitive work, minimizes workload, and ensures consistency when setting up similar campaigns.
Users with proper permissions can create templates from campaigns.
If the content items control feature is configured:
Content item availability in a template-based campaign depends on metadata set in a user profile.
Template availability in the campaign lists of the add new menu depends on country and brand metadata set in a user profile.
Contact the administrator to manage metadata in your user profile.
Template creation
You can only create templates from a campaign once it contains content items. For this:
Open more options of the campaign and click
Template

popup, fill in the required metadata fields.Select the
Include content from all tabs
checkbox to add files and links from the LAYOUTS, ASSET COMPONENTS, ATTACHMENTS, and URL LINKS tabs of the original content items to the campaign template.Click

.As a result, the template is added to the global or local campaign list in the add new menu.
You can't filter templates in the campaign lists of the add new menu.
Template update
You can update existing campaign templates to incorporate changes made to the original campaign. Use the updated template to create similar campaigns with the latest version of all content items and their related elements.
To update a campaign template:
Open more options of the campaign and click

popup inherits the following from the existing template:Prepopulated metadata values.
The selected
Include content from all tabs
checkbox.
You can modify the metadata or clear the checkbox if needed.
Click
UPDATE

As a result, the previous template is removed, and the updated one is added to the global or local campaign list in the add new menu.
You can't restore the removed template.
If you create several templates for the same campaign, the most recently created one is removed and replaced with the updated template.
Templated campaign creation
To create a template-based campaign:
In the global or local campaign list of the add new menu, select the required template.
Hover over any template to view the description added when it was created.
The Create templated campaign
popup appears with prepopulated metadata inherited from the source campaign.
2. Edit metadata values if required.
On the Details pages of content items created with the template-based campaign:
Edited metadata values are displayed.
Deadlines are automatically adjusted based on the durations of the source content items and the selected start date.
3. Click CREATE

The template-based campaign, along with its content items and their dependencies, appears at the top of the CAMPAIGNS
list in the Campaign planning
widget.
Source campaign milestones aren't added to template-based campaigns.
After creating the template-based campaign and its content items, separate email notifications with links to the Details pages of the campaign and content items are sent to the responsible person and production partners.
The owners and users with proper permissions can manage template-based campaigns.
