Assigning actions to components

Add more interactivity to your item components through actions

The Actions tab allows you to make your content interactive by assigning actions to components and blocks. With just a few clicks, you can add interactivity to your components—whether it’s navigating to another slide or website page, opening supporting materials, or displaying additional content.

To add actions, do the following:

  1. Select the component or block on the layout.

  2. Go to the Actions tab that appears on the customization panel.

  3. Click + ADD ACTION.

  4. Select and configure the required action.

Open slide

Navigate to the required slide within this e-Detailer or portfolio e-Detailer

Click the slide placeholder and select the required slide in the popup that appears:
- Within this e-Detailer.
- Within the nested e-Detailer of the portfolio.
As a result, the slide preview is displayed instead of the placeholder on the Actions tab. To turn off the slide transition animation, select the No transition checkbox.

Open PDF

Open the uploaded PDF

Click BROWSE to add an uploaded PDF from My library, Veeva Vault PromoMats, or your device.

Open pop-up

Open the pop-up you've added to the item earlier

Create the pop-up and select its name in the LABEL drop-down. In the EDIT mode, you can open the pop-up with the button in the upper left of the component.

Open link

Assign the link opening to the component

Click 🔗 to add the link to the component. In the Edit link pop-up that appears, set and configure the required link type.

Open page

Navigate to the required page within this multipage site

Click the placeholder and select the required page in the pop-up that appears. As a result, the page preview is displayed instead of the placeholder on the Actions tab.

You can add different link types to the same component on the Properties and Actions tabs. A prioritized is the link added on the Actions tab.

5. Select the required action trigger: Click/Tap.

To deactivate the action on the slide, click the button.

To remove the action, click .
