eWizard Centralized tagging allows you to tag virtual events created within the ON24 platform. This tagging process streamlines event search, management, organization, and classification, providing the inheritance of metadata tags across multiple placeholders in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

Tagging events and content items within a single platform ensures consistency in adding strategic metadata and simplifies the tagging process. It also enhances the creation of analytics for events and content items.

To tag an event:

  1. In ON24, copy the generated link for the created event.

  2. In Veeva Vault PromoMats, create a placeholder for your event.

On the Create Placeholder page, assign metadata as follows:

  • In the General Properties section, provide the name and country to automatically transfer these details to the event, including key message tagging fields that match the country metadata.

  • In the Document Details section, select Yes in the Tagging is required metadata field to tag the placeholder in eWizard Centralized tagging. If you don't change the default No value, the Tag action remains locked in the placeholder actions menu.

3. Open the placeholder actions menu in Veeva Vault PromoMats and select Tag.

4. Sign in to eWizard in a new browser tab.

Once signed in, you are redirected to the Centralized tagging page.

5. In the Paste your event link popup, add the event link.

Add the link using the HTTPS protocol for the existing event.

To change the link, click Paste your event link in the more options menu.

Once you add a new link, the tagging fields are automatically:

  • Cleared if the event wasn't previously tagged.

  • Populated with values inherited from the previously tagged event.

6. Click APPLY.

7. Add tags.

8. Click SAVE.

The saved metadata tags of the completely tagged event are sent to the repository at the set time.

In Veeva Vault PromoMats, you can approve the placeholder only if the event is completely tagged in Centralized tagging.

Once the placeholder is approved in Veeva Vault PromoMats, the more options menu is locked for the event on the tagging page in eWizard. To update the link within the Paste your event link popup in Centralized tagging, change the placeholder status in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

Additional scenarios

Tagging the same event for different placeholders in Veeva Vault PromoMats

  • If the event is tagged with multiple sets of metadata, the last saved set of values automatically populates the respective tagging fields when you add the event link.

  • If an event is tagged with different tags for multiple placeholders, each unique set of tags is sent to the repository.

Updating the completely tagged event

If you modify metadata tags in a previously completely tagged event, ensure all tagging metadata is populated—otherwise, the new tags aren't saved.

Contact the administrator to configure saving of newly added tags.

Copying the event placeholder and changing its country metadata in Veeva Vault PromoMats

If you change the country metadata from other than Global / MASTER to Global / MASTER when creating a copy of an event placeholder in Veeva Vault PromoMats and then add the link of the previously tagged event in eWizard, the Centralized tagging page contains empty Global key message tagging fields.

If you change the country metadata from Global / MASTER to other than Global / MASTER when creating a copy of an event placeholder in Veeva Vault PromoMats and then add the link of the previously tagged event in eWizard, the Centralized tagging page contains empty Local key message tagging fields. Global key message tagging fields are prepopulated with values inherited from the tagged event.
