With eWizard Centralized tagging, you can tag websites created in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system (CMS). This centralized service allows you to tag AEM website pages and their atomic elements—tag containers.

Tagging AEM websites in Centralized tagging ensures consistency in adding strategic metadata and streamlines the tagging process by providing a single platform. It also enhances analytics and insights by capturing consistent metadata across content items. These factors reduce the time required for you to tag content items and facilitate accurate analysis of key metrics, leading to better-informed decision-making and optimization.

To tag an AEM website:

  1. In Veeva Vault PromoMats, create a placeholder for your AEM website.

When you assign the country metadata to the placeholder in Veeva Vault PromoMats, the Centralized tagging page of the AEM website in eWizard contains the following tagging fields:

2. Open the placeholder actions menu in Veeva Vault PromoMats and select Tag.

3. Sign in to eWizard in a new browser tab.

Once signed in, you are redirected to the Paste your website link popup on theCentralized tagging page.

4. In AEM CMS, copy the generated link for the created website.

5. In the Paste your website link popup:

  • Add the AEM website link using the HTTPS protocol for the actual AEM website.

  • Select the Include child pages checkbox to display all the AEM website pages and their tag containers, which correspond to sections in the Centralized tagging service. If the checkbox is clear, only the first page and its sections are displayed for tagging.

The AEM website can inherit metadata from third-party systems in the following priority order:

  • AEM CMS metadata if the website tags are mapped to the country metadata of the Veeva Vault placeholder.

  • Veeva Vault placeholder metadata if its product is mapped to the country metadata.

To change the link and checkbox selection, click Paste your website link in the more options menu on the top panel.

Once you add a new link, the tagging fields are automatically:

  • Cleared if the AEM website wasn't previously tagged.

  • Populated with values inherited from the previously tagged AEM website.

  • Populated with values inherited from third-party systems.

6. Click APPLY.

The notification informs you if your request for access to the AEM website tagging is in the queue for processing due to a high server load.

7. Add or change tags if required.

If you bulk tag the AEM website pages, the selected metadata values also apply to the AEM tag containers, which correspond to sections in Centralized tagging.

8. Click SAVE.

Changing tags in third-party systems doesn't change tags assigned and saved in eWizard Centralized tagging.

The saved metadata tags of the completely tagged AEM website are sent to the repository at the set time.

Additional scenarios

  • Tagging the same AEM website for different placeholders in Veeva Vault PromoMats

o If the AEM website is tagged with multiple sets of metadata, the last saved set of values automatically populates the respective tagging fields when you add the AEM website link.

o If the AEM website is tagged with different tags for multiple placeholders, each unique set of tags is sent to the repository.

  • Copying the AEM website placeholder and changing its country metadata in Veeva Vault PromoMats

If you change the country metadata from Global / MASTER to other than Global / MASTER when creating a copy of an AEM website placeholder in Veeva Vault PromoMats and then add the link of the previously tagged AEM website in eWizard, the Centralized tagging page contains empty Local key message tagging fields. Global key message tagging fields are prepopulated with values inherited from the tagged AEM website.
