Asset and module linkage to published documents in Veeva Vault

Publish your items to Veeva Vault with linked assets and modules

The Veeva Vault assets and/or modules added to the item in Editor are linked to the resulting PDF document. The module is linked along with its assets: images, videos, and reusable texts.

After the content item publication, the resulting document provides:

  • Assets in the Components section and modules in the Content modules section on the document Relationships page in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

    Image assets

Images with edited texts appear in Veeva Vault PromoMats as new image documents, with original VVPM assets automatically linked in the Created From section on the Relationships page. This linkage doesn't occur if an image was added to a content item in eWizard Editor from:

    • Any content storage or DAM other than Veeva Vault PromoMats.

    • A VVPM instance different from the instance used for content item publication.

  • Annotation cards for Veeva Vault references or linked claims that include references and anchors, appearing next to the content item layout. Each card contains the document name with a direct URL, making the source immediately clear.

Contact your administrator to configure the following:

  • Linking the PDF document to its modules using the Approval Documents and/or Content Module objects.

  • Linking the published PDF to the Approval Documents of all added modules in the Relationships β†’ Related approval content section.

  • Linking original VVPM assets to images with edited text.

  • Availability of the ASSETS publication step for images and the metadata fields it contains.

  • The display of annotation cards in the published PDF documents.

You can still publish your item even if the assets/modules linkage fails. To read the error message, hover the mouse over the ⚠️ sign.
