Available for emails / email briefs / email fragments / landing pages / landing page briefs / messenger ads / references

Use the REFERENCES component in emails, landing pages, and messenger ads to display the list of references applied to your item text.

To add the REFERENCES component to your item, drag it from the Components tab to the layout. The component contains the header and remains empty until you add the required references to your item text in the References pop-up.

Modules

When you add Veeva Vault references to the module reusable texts, the REFERENCES component automatically appears on the layout.

To link/unlink references, launch the References pop-up with the R button in the text properties. After you add the required references, they appear as a numbered list within the component.

Double-click the REFERENCES component to open the References pop-up. Here, you can add, edit, delete, and move references.

The display of the reference numbered list depends on the version of the component used.

  • For the component version below 3.0.0, the list number doesn't inherit the reference text style. Contact your administrator to style the reference numbered list manually.

  • For the component version 3.0.0 and above, the list number inherits the reference text style.

Contact your administrator to configure the component version.

You can set the background and border for the REFERENCES component on the Styling tab.

Go to the Properties tab to customize the following:

  • ELEMENT TYPE: Assign the element type to classify the component in Veeva Vault.

  • COMPONENT NAME: Rename the References component.

  • HEADER: Modify the component header with the WYSIWYG editor or browse for the required Veeva Vault text in the Assets pop-up.

To improve the visibility of the component header in the text input area, switch on the Dark background toggle.
