Interactivity is an instrument in the AI-avatar video editor that allows you to create more engaging videos by giving the viewer the possibility to interact with the material.

You can find the Interactivity tab in the right-hand sidebar of the AI-avatar video editor.

Go to the Interactivity tab to manage the following:

Interactivity is only available in the rendered video through embedded code or by sharing a link the resulting video.

Slide settings

These settings can be used to change the order of the slides, add chapters to the slides for easy navigation in the resulting video. You can manage the following in the Slide settings section:

  • Next slide setting appears only if you have 2 or more slides in your presentation. You can choose which slide to show after the current one. Rearrange the slide order to create branching scenarios.

  • Slide chapter setting is created to add chapter for each slide so your audience can see what particular slide is about and jump to relevant sections while watching.

Once the video is rendered, you can see the chapter name by hovering on the video timeline. You can also click the Chapters button on the timeline to browse the list of chapters.

You can create a chapter for every slide if needed.

Interactive elements

Use interactive elements to add multiple-choice questions, links to external resources, or links to other slides in your video. Each element appears after the avatar finishes speaking. You can set which slide to show next, depending on whether the viewer's answer is correct or incorrect.

Questions

Questions offer an interactive approach to gathering input. You can use traditional text responses or select images that best represent your answers—making the experience more intuitive, memorable, and user-friendly.

There are two types of Questions: Text-based and Image-based.

To add and configure a question, do the following:

  1. In the Interactive elementsQuestions section, select Text-based/ Image-based.

  2. Choose the question layout in the Design section.

  3. Type your question in the Question field.

Test-based

4. Enter answer choices in the Answers fields.

You can add 2–6 answers per question. Select one or several checkboxes for correct answers. Correct answers are indicated with a green checkmark.

Image-based

4. Add images you want to use as answers. For this, click the required answer image placeholder and choose one of the three image sources available:

  • Uploads. Use uploaded images available on the My Assets tab.

  • From stock. Browse the Freepik library and find suitable visuals using the search box and filters.

  • AI generation. Create unique images with a text prompt. You can modify results with Style, Color, Framing, and Lighting options. Unfold Settings to choose the image size and add a negative prompt to avoid things on the image. AI-generated images are automatically saved to My Assets and can be reused.

After adding images, select the image checkbox to mark the correct answer.

5. In the Interactions section, you can redirect users to different slides depending on whether they answered correctly or incorrectly.

In the Feedback section, switch the toggle on to provide messages for correct and incorrect answers. As a result, a popup with a green checkmark appears for correct responses, while incorrect answers trigger a popup with a red cross.

Buttons

With interactive buttons, you can navigate to another slide in the video or open an external resource in a new browser tab. At the end of a slide, the video pauses until you click the button, ensuring interaction before continuing. You can fully customize button text and color, or even turn any media or text into a clickable button.

In the Interactive elementsButtons section, click the required button to add it to the slide.

To customize the button:

  1. Right-click it on the slide. In the context menu that appears, select Ungroup.

  2. Edit the button name and color.

  3. Trigger the context menu and click Group.

To turn media or text into an interactive button:

  1. Add media or text you want to use to the slide and select it.

  2. Go to the Elements tab and switch the Interactivity toggle on.

  3. Select one of the following options:

    • Go to the slide—redirects the viewer to a specific slide in the video.

    • Open a link—opens an external resource in a new browser tab.

Depending on the option selected, pick the slide to navigate to or paste the URL of the external resource.
